I thought that it would be great if the community could provide links to the writing of its own members. I thought I'd start with myself. First, I'd like to put in a plug for the community's own site the Whomping Muses, where we hope to see community members post their own writing. community.livejournal.com/whomping_muses/Second, I'm a member of an LJ site made up of the former members of the Sugar Quill's drabble thread, sq_drabblers. Norwegian Blue mods the site and posts a prompt weekly. I'd love to see any of you there both as readers and as writers. So come over and grab a current prompt or a past one. community.livejournal.com/sq_drabblers/Lastly I post stories at my own LJ Vegablack62. vegablack62.livejournal.com/

Great idea, vegablack...my "pimpage" thread was supposed to follow the same idea, but it got zero follow-up-posts, so I probably didn't name it well.
Would you mind if I copied and pasted over the lone post on that thread so we could self-promote all in one thread?

Well, we could make one for other people's writing (the Pimpage one) and make this for our own. Or not. It's up to the mods! My writing can be found at www.livejournal.com/~the_birdnest. The very first post is a master list of my fics which are 90% Next Gen and the ones that aren't are set post-epilogue. The next two posts are my lists of recommended fics, both gen and pairings. Combined, there's over 17 pages of fics so they're worth checking out. My regular LJ is over at www.livejournal.com/~birdseyeview. That's where I spam my unsuspecting flist with music, cat macros, weird stuff I find on the internet and my deeply profound thoughts on politics and fandom.

Thanks! Here is from last week: I just wanted to encourage readers and voters to visit the rwhg_LDWS drabble fest/contest on LJ. The first challenge of the first round group just went up today....rate 15 canon based Ron/Hermione drabbles at community.livejournal.com/rwhg_ldws/3864.html#cutid1 and rate them as you see fit. Disclaimer: I am among the 15 drabblers, but all are displayed anonymously, so you won't be able to tell who wrote what. There are some great fanfic writers participating, so if fic is your thing, check it out! ****************8 Timely reminder! It's Friday again, which means that the next group of drabbles is up...There was one elimination last week and one writer is using her pass, so there are 13 drabbles up for voting at community.livejournal.com/rwhg_ldws/5247.html#cutid1You may want to take notes as you read, because voting polls are grouped together at the end. As with last week, drabbles are rated from 1-10, and the lowest average score is eliminated. Voting ends Saturday, results are posted on Sunday along with the next challenge. I'm still in it....but, I wonder for how long....this week's challenge was not friendly with my muse, although I'm feeling a little better about my drabble now that I am a day past it. AND, in completely unrelated-to-HP pimping, two of my magazine articles are finalists for awards from my state's chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. So, yeay me!

Well, I just feel in my bones, it's time to start publishing my fanfiction, The Ollivander Children, of which I have spoken widely on this very site. This is the link to the homepage of The Ollivander Children, including an intriguing summary: digitalhawk.net/cath/ollhome.htm My other writings can be found at the Fiction Archive of my site -- [ digitalhawk.net/cath/fictionA.htm ] -- and my site itself is called Flegdling Hawk, and can be found at digitalhawk.net/cath/index.htm. There isn't very much fiction there as of yet, just a little fanfiction of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I built the site myself in Dreamweaver; I am learning, and do not yet know how to correct all my mistakes. Now, in the words of Lucius Apuleius, translated by Robert Graves, "Read on and enjoy yourself!"

It's time for the second round of RWHG_LDWS! I'm one of the 15 drabblers, but again, they are posted anonymously, so you don't know who wrote what, but we'd all appreciate your attention and votes! community.livejournal.com/rwhg_ldws/
