You and I know that, but the DEs sitting around the table shouldn't believe that Snape was in any sort of "graces" with The Order... he should have a "shoot on sight" hanging over his head for killing Dumbledore. Basically how would they deal with it within their own ranks if any of the DEs had done a comparable thing. Even with Voldie being an Occlumense extraordinaire, plain old everyday logic should have prevented everyone of them from trusting Snapey-poo.

This is a "Pondering" :
Don't get me wrong, I like him quite well, but how did Nearly Headless Nick become the Gryffindor House ghost when he admits to Harry that he didn't go on because he was afraid to? The Fat Friar is sort of jolly and service oriented, so he makes sense to be Hufflepuff's, and we know why The Gray Lady and Bloody Baron are where they are.
Why's Sir Nicholas, Gryffindor's?

Didn't Nick die for someone else? I may be making that up...

I don't know. I've been going over stuff for a while, but haven't found any references as to why he got axed or was the Gryffindor ghost. (Though I have to admit that I usually get so involved with the story that I could easily cruise right past, count it in with everything else and miss it....) I was hoping one of you guys would know the answer.

OK - in DH Bill says he is Secret Keeper for Shell Cottage.
How did Dobby apparate all the ones he saved from Malfoy Mansion to there?
Dobby was sent, somehow, by Aberforth, so how'd he be able to get through the protections? Does House Elf magic have to do with it, like them being able to apparate in Hogwarts when wizards can't. (And, if so, isn't that a pretty big hole in the Wizards' security arrangements?)

Toward the end of DH Voldy sends Lucius to go get/bring/send Snape to him.
How did Lucius get Snape? It doesn't seem like the DEs use the Whomping Willow passageway. Have they un-boarded The Shrieking Shack? How did he get out of the SS? Where was Snape, anyway? Have the protections been breached to the point of Apparition? How'd he get Snape?

In going through DH yet again, it occurred to me what a fun place it must be to have Molly and Auntie Muriel under the same roof. And just in case things got too quiet, Fred and George are there, too.
Is there a building big enough?
Doesn't it just sound like your worst big family get-together ever?

So, when Harry was staying ar the Leaky Cauldron just before 3rd year, he could hear the traffic on Charring Cross Rd and inside Diagon Alley. Basically The Leaky fronts on both thoroughfares, so.... would it be possible to access Diagon Alley through those windows? If one didn't have their wand with them, but could access the upstairs of The Leaky, could one go either place and avoid tapping 'the third brick'? Could a bird (Animagus) fly through and get to either side through the building (or even fly over the buildings)?
