Firstly,
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
And second, has it always been common for people to marry on St. Patrick's Day or is this something new? Maybe I just know more people with Irish ancestry this year than in other years, but the number of weddings going on here caught me by surprise (actually, I only know of three, but that seems like a lot). Also, I have been known to be in the dark about these sorts of things, so it could be as simple as that.
I just hope the groomsmen aren't expected to buy green tuxedos!

Handsome green ties, maybe. Or a bit of fern for their buttonhole, that would be cute.
Well, St. Patrick's Day seems like as good a day as any - for a nice Spring wedding (won't be as expensive as a June wedding), a good festive air all around, and of course an anniversary that no-one at the wedding will forget. In light of the convenient factors (plus the old sentimental attachment to Irish pride), that could have accounted for some of the spike in popularity.
BTW, I heard about two high schoolers who got vegetables for their corsages. Asparagus was the main one, I think. The sky's the limit when you think about it...

Busy at college would be a good assumption for me. But Happy Easter to all! I wonder if I should make cookies this year... simple, homey, colorful cookies might be just the thing...

Excellent idea. You could frost them with flowers or some Spring-y thing!
How did your day go?
We had nice weather here and a great dinner. (I didn't have to cook - yay!)

If "who" is pronounced "hoo", and "Whom" is pronounced "hoome", why isn't here the "Hoome-ping Will-oh"?

Hey, how about if you post in this thread every time you come to the site. Even if it is only a "hi", it at least registers that there are actual members...humans...witches and wizards...
Please *puppydog eyes*

Any ideas as to how to get more of us frequenting the site? Is there anything we could discuss or play that would make it more interesting to stop in more often?

We could plan a re-read... I'm just not sure how many people visit this site any more. :-\

I "get" that the shine is off vehicle, that we all know the punchline, but there is so much that is still interesting, for me anyhow. I wish more people would want to play and discuss and all that.
*sigh*
Especially if someone is interested in becoming a writer, there is so much that can be dissected and delved into, the reasons/whys/hows.
Plus, it is a good story.
Grrr!

* Waves forlornly from the tree by the lake.... skips a stone, which is parried by the Giant Squid... *
We really should sit here, under this wonderful Beech tree and discuss things while the weather is still good. It gets chilly here, ya know!
